FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Drummer Interviewed On 106.3 THE BONE (Audio)

Earlier this afternoon, Andy Austin of Portland, Maine's "Real Rock Station" 106.3 The Bone conducted an interview with drummer Jeremy Spencer of Las Vegas, Nevada metallers FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH. You can now listen to the chat using the audio player below.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH played a handful of shows for U.S. troops stationed in Kuwait earlier this month. For security reasons, the exact dates and locations of the shows were not revealed, nor was the band's trip announced beforehand. Video footage of some of the performances, however, has been posted online at YouTube. This is the Las Vegas-based group's second visit to U.S. soldiers stationed overseas, following a visit to troops stationed in Iraq in early 2010.
Vocalist Ivan Moody told The Pulse Of Radio at the time of that trip how he felt about performing for members of the nation's military. "The troops were just so receptive and so appreciative that we were there," he said. "You only get glimpses on the news over here, 30 seconds, maybe a minute long — don't really get to see what these guys are going through, and it's just such a life-changing experience for us. More bands need to go there, man. Don't just do it for a couple of notches on your belt. Go over there because these guys are fighting and dying for the freedom that we're living up over here every day."

Moody also said at the time that the band traveled to Iraq to play for the troops because "we really wanted to break it up and make them feel human, and I hope that we gave them that."

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH will next hit the road in North America for a headlining run that begins on March 23 in Las Vegas.

The group was last seen headlining the Share The Welt tour in late 2011 as it continues to support its third studio album, 2011's "American Capitalist".
